Preparations for African charity project
Mornacott played host to 20 young people at the weekend as part of their final preparations for travelling to Lesotho in southern Africa to assist in various projects working with the young people of that country.

A red letter day with the bulk of the major refurbishment works at Little North Hayne completed.
After a few false starts we now have planning permission to convert two of the near derelict barns to holiday cottages/shoot lodges.
An eighth Birthday party with a difference
No jelly and ice cream for this lot! Instead we had 20 hugely energetic young boys undertaking a round robin of activities from “command tasks” to air rifle shooting and archery.
Today saw an exciting event here are Mornacott, the start of calving season was kicked off with the birth of a Devon heifer calf this afternoon.
New game chiller helps promote local supply
We were delighted to receive a contribution today towards the cost of our new game chiller from the BASC.
End of Season
Today the pheasants and partridges at Mornacott breathed a sigh of relief as another very successful shooting season drew to a close.
The Big Freeze
Mornacott has, like the rest of the country, been suffering from the extreme weather conditions.
Salmon at journeys end
The first salmon were seen in the river today thanks to the heavy rain that we had last week which enabled them to make the long journey up river from the sea.
